We want to hear about your specialty waste streams! Attend in person at SWS Central Transfer Station or online via Zoom.About this Event
Turning Anchorage's Waste Into a Community Resource
Anchorage’s Waste-to-Energy (WTE) project is a waste management solution that turns everyday waste into a long-term community resource—responsibly managing waste, generating reliable electric power, protecting air and water, and extending the life of Anchorage’s only municipal landfill for generations. We want to know if this resource could also help manage the specialty waste streams in Anchorage and beyond.
At this listening session, we will share about the project and answer any questions you have. We will also hope to learn from you, specifically about:
- The types and quantities of waste your organization generates
- How you currently manage and dispose of that waste
- Anticipated changes in your waste streams
- Challenges with existing disposal options
