Volunteers needed to help with a single-use campaign sign waste diversion collection. ♻️ Show up for a shift, no requirement to spend the entire four hours with us. The campaign signs you have seen at your polling place, most of them will be dumped in the trash. This collection event offers residents and campaigns a waste diversion opportunity to drop off their campaign signs and metal frames to be diverted from the landfill and be recycled. ♻️
Some volunteers will be asked to direct traffic entering the complex and some volunteers will be asked to help collect signs being dropped off along with the metal frames.
🌳We will be outside in the parking lot but will stay in the shade of a mature and majestic oak as seen in the event photo. Please be aware we will not have access to a public restroom, but volunteers can leave at any time to depart to find a restroom in the vicinity.
What to bring: foldable chair, reusable water bottle, snacks, sunglasses
