This autumn, Wasps vs Humans (WvHs) release their second album, The Day Homo Sapiens Destroyed the Earth, which also marks the band's first-ever vinyl release, in partnership with Anthem Vinyl.
Kicking off at 4pm on the afternoon of Saturday 3 October, will see the official Cork launch of the new album at the Crane Lane Theatre Cork joined by special guests, THEWLIS from Dublin.
This is the only FREE show on the band's album launch tour—so don't miss your chance to be part of it.

Your copy will be reserved in your name and must be collected at the album launch where you can have it signed if you wish.
Recorded between Dublin and Cork, the album is the culmination of two years of gigging, capturing the raw energy of the live show in a harder, grittier yet more melodic sound. Heavy guitar riffs and thundering beats collide with harmonies, folk influences, whistles and bodhrán — though there’s not a trad song in sight!
about THEWLIS...
The Dublin-based duo, named after renowned English actor David Thewlis, are Donegal native Danny McElhinney, and Dubliner Cormac Curtis. First playing together in the indie rock band, Mahogany Men in the nineties, they convened as Thewlis in the capital just before lockdown in 2020.
They have released eight singles to streaming services, are well-received by critics and have enjoyed enthusiastic radio play both at home and abroad; their musical style encompasses alternative rock, punk, folk, and dark-toned country.
