Join us at Brentwood Arts Exchange for a conversation celebrating 25 years of the Washington Glass School and the artists who have helped shape its creative community.Presented in conjunction with The Washington Glass School: 25 Years, this artist talk looks beyond the history of a single studio to the community of artists, ideas and experimentation that has grown around WGS since its founding in 2001.
Artists from the exhibition will talk about their work, their connections to the Washington Glass School, and the ways glass has expanded beyond traditional definitions of the medium through mixed media, sculpture, narrative, public art, recycled materials and new technologies.
The conversation is an opportunity to hear directly from artists represented in the exhibition and to explore how a small Washington-area glass program developed into a collaborative community with a distinctly different approach to contemporary glass.
The Washington Glass School: 25 Years is on view at Brentwood Arts Exchange through October 31, 2026.
Come see the exhibition, meet the artists, and join the conversation. 2-4pm
