Directed and hosted by Whistler local ski personality Katie Burrell, the film Warren Miller's "Days Off" takes audiences on an exhilarating global journey across breathtaking winter backdrops, spanning from the powder-filled peaks of Revelstoke, Whistler, and Pemberton, British Columbia, to the high-energy terrain of Banff, Alberta, the legendary backcountry of Haines, Alaska, the pristine slopes of Deer Valley, Utah, and the steep mountaineering lines of Chamonix, France, and Hokkaido, Japan.
This cinematic adventure showcases an elite roster of world-class athletes and snowsports personalities, including big-mountain freeriders Sam Kuch and Craig Murray, snowboarding icons Jess Kimura and Marie-France Roy, ski mountaineers Christina Lustenburger and Guillaume Pierrel, legendary alpine racers Ted Ligety and Kaylin Richardson, freeski veteran Pep Fujas, culture commentator Craig McMorris, industry innovators Chuck Mumford and Marty Schaffer, skijoring pioneer Sam Mitchell, and acclaimed indigenous photographer Mason Mashon.
Backed by premier brand partners and sponsors like Mammut and Deer Valley Resort, the film delivers an authentic, high-impact celebration of winter culture.

Pemberton, Canada
- Athlete(s): Court “Blackbird” Larabee, Mason Mashon
Court “Blackbird” Larabee spends all of his time helping indigenous youth from his community get on the hill, so in an attempt to spread the day-off love, Katie asks him his dream day off, and with the help of Mason Mashon, she delivers. We learn about Court’s infectious laugh, the simple love of riding for yourself when riding is your job, and that no one calls it “Snowmobile Assisted Snowboarding.”
Whistler, BC
- Athlete(s): Craig McMorris, Sebastian Judge, Mark Sollors, Truth Smith
We meet Craig McMorris earlier in the film on set presenting for the Winter Olympics, but it isn’t until that spring that Katie is able to track the multi-hyphenate McMorris back to his home turf for a day off. The problem is Craig has a very different idea of what that is. Beginning with a contentious hockey game, Katie then rides the park with Craig and his friends, ending the day on a backcountry booter, and the revelation that days off are subjective, but the most important part of them is who you spend them with.
