Join us on Wednesday, October 28th, for Wandering Wednesday, a guided nature walk that explores the unique habitats of Chinsegut and surrounding WEAs. Each month brings a new opportunity to learn about local wildlife, land stewardship, and the conservation work that protects these special places. This will be a fantastic time to see fall wildflowers, as well as appreciate the majestic long leaf pines. We plan to walk the 1.3-mile Longleaf Loop and possibly a little more, depending on time and the wishes of those who participate. All trails are unpaved, over sometimes sandy and uneven terrain.The month's hike will begin, and participants need to meet us at, the Big Pine parking area at 12060 Old Crystal River Rd., Brooksville, FL 34601. There is a vault toilet, but no water fountains at this location so please plan accordingly. Spots are limited and registration is required. Recommended items include long pants, closed‑toed shoes, sunscreen, a hat, and water. Feel free to bring binoculars or a camera to enhance your experience—there’s always something exciting to discover.

Chinsegut has one track chair available on a first come, first serve basis for people with mobility challenges.
