About this Event
Walking with the Ancestors is an immersive exploration of ancestor veneration, ancestral connection, and lineage healing.
Across cultures and spiritual traditions, people have honoured those who came before them through offerings, prayer, remembrance, storytelling, ritual, and the tending of sacred spaces. In this class, we will explore how to begin or deepen your own relationship with your ancestors in a way that feels meaningful, respectful, and personal.
We’ll look at how to create and tend an ancestor altar, what kinds of gifts and offerings you can give, ways to invite ancestral guidance and support, and how our ancestors may continue to influence and walk alongside us in our own lives.
We’ll also explore lineage healing: recognizing the strengths, wisdom, gifts, patterns, wounds, and stories that have travelled through generations, and considering what we want to carry forward and what we may be ready to transform.
This work is not about idealizing every person in our family line. We will focus on connecting with the well, healed, loving, and benevolent ancestors who can support us, while honouring the complexity that can exist within family histories.
Walking with the Ancestors is an opportunity to slow down, remember where you come from, strengthen your relationship with those who walked before you, and explore how ancestral wisdom can ground, heal, and guide you on the path ahead.
