(EN) Want to explore Vilnius neighborhoods? Want to get to know Vilnius art, architecture and history? Join us for a walking tour around the city as part of our series of tours „I Do It Anyways“.
This time, we are heading to Žvėrynas. Its distinguishing feature is its wooden architecture, which blends seamlessly into the modern world of today’s people. Žvėrynas is constantly changing, and during this tour you will learn about some of these changes. We will also talk about the importance of the Lithuanian press in the Lithuanian national movement, the importance of radio as a means of both informing and shaping society, and about the people who have been living in Lithuania for more than 600 years. The biggest secret is where our tour will end, as the final location is certainly not easy to predict! There will be time to ask the guide any questions afterwards, to chat or grab some coffee.

No registration or tickets are required. This is a part of a series of tours „I Do It Anyways“ that will be organized regularly exploring different regions and neighborhoods of Vilnius. This tour is organized by a friend and a volunteer of language club "Kalba Kartu", Edvinas Palujanskas, who will host many tours around Vilnius on a variety of subjects. На этот раз мы отправимся в Жверинас. Отличительная черта этого района это деревянная архитектура, которая органично вписывается в современный мир сегодняшних людей. Жверинас постоянно меняется, и в ходе этой экскурсии вы узнаете о некоторых из этих изменений. Мы также поговорим о значении литовской печати в литовском национальном движении, о роли радио как средства информирования и формирования общества, а также о народе, который живёт в Литве уже более 600 лет. Самая большая загадка - где же закончиться наша экскурсия, ведь угадать финальную точку непросто! После экскурсии будет время задать гиду любые вопросы, пообщаться или выпить кофе.
