About this Event
This walk follows the events of Daniel Defoe's classic account of the plague of 1665. Although Defoe was writing many years after the event, his account captures the many emotions of the people living in London at the time - fear, paranoia, hope and sorrow.
The walk visits locations mentioned in the text and Rob will tell many of Defoe's stories of quack medical men, brave neighbours, doom struck preachers and complacent authorities. The walk ends at Old Street underground station.
