Walk With Us: South Surrey–White Rock Anxiety Support
A free monthly, easy-paced community walk for anyone experiencing anxiety, stress, worry or loneliness. Talk, listen or simply walk with supportive company.
EVENT DESCRIPTION
Sometimes it’s easier to connect while walking.
Walk With Us is a free monthly walking support group for people in South Surrey, White Rock and surrounding communities. It offers a welcoming and relaxed way to connect with others while enjoying gentle movement and fresh air.
This group is open to anyone experiencing anxiety, stress, worry, social anxiety, loneliness or isolation. No formal diagnosis is required, and there is no pressure to discuss anything you are uncomfortable sharing.
You can join the conversation, listen quietly or simply enjoy walking alongside others. Come exactly as you are.
WHAT TO EXPECT
• A brief welcome and optional check-in
• An easy-paced group walk lasting approximately 45–60 minutes
• Friendly conversation or quiet company
• A respectful, supportive and judgement-free atmosphere
• An optional closing check-in and information about local resources

Cost: Free
Walking level: Easy and relaxed
Registration: Please reserve your free spot through Eventbrite
The exact meeting location, parking information and weather updates will be emailed to registered participants before each walk.
WHAT TO BRING
• Comfortable walking shoes
• Clothing appropriate for the weather
• Water
• An umbrella or rain jacket when needed
We will walk at a comfortable group pace, and participants are encouraged to respect their own physical limits. The walk may be postponed or relocated if weather or trail conditions are unsafe.
EVERYONE IS WELCOME
People of all backgrounds, cultures, faiths, identities and walking abilities are welcome. Children and youth must attend with a parent or guardian.
If you require mobility accommodations or have questions about the walking route, please contact the organizer before registering.
COMMUNITY GUIDELINES
Participants are expected to treat one another with kindness and respect. Personal stories shared during the walk should be treated as private. However, because this activity takes place in a public community setting, complete confidentiality cannot be guaranteed.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
This is a community peer-support and social walking group. It is not group therapy, counselling, medical treatment or a crisis service.
