On October 10, 2026, you can do something Detroiters haven't been able to do in about half a century: walk out of the United States and into Canada.
The Gordie Howe International Bridge just opened its pedestrian path. We're crossing it together.
Detroit Social Walk Club is leading a guided group walk from Detroit into Windsor, Ontario. It's 1.8 miles from path entrance to exit, roughly 45 minutes at a steady pace, 150 feet above the Detroit River, with a skyline view you cannot get from anywhere else.
When we land in Windsor, we take a commemorative group photo and every finisher gets a Walk to Windsor medal. After that the day is yours. Explore Windsor, grab brunch, or walk back to Detroit with the group.

- Guided group crossing of the Gordie Howe International Bridge
- Walk to Windsor finisher medal
- Commemorative group photo in Windsor
- Water and light snacks
- Walk back with the group or stay and explore on your own
