The Walk to End Alzheimer’s® Northern Nevada, held at the beautiful Sparks Marina Park, is a powerful community event bringing together families, caregivers, volunteers, sponsors, and advocates from across the region. With the marina as a scenic backdrop, thousands of participants gather to honor loved ones, support those currently facing Alzheimer’s and other dementias, and take meaningful steps toward a cure.
This inspiring event is the Alzheimer’s Association’s largest annual fundraiser, raising critical funds that support local care and support services, educational programs, and groundbreaking research. Walkers of all ages and abilities come together in a shared mission—to end Alzheimer’s once and for all.
Participants experience a meaningful opening ceremony, mission-focused activities, team celebrations, and opportunities to learn more about the impact of Alzheimer’s disease in Northern Nevada. The event concludes with a walk around the marina, symbolizing hope, resilience, and progress.
Each year, the Walk continues to grow, filling Sparks Marina Park with energy, purpose, and community spirit. Together, we are building a future with improved care, stronger support, and ultimately, a world without Alzheimer’s.
