Walk the Illuminations. Stand in solidarity. Help light the way home.Join Shelter Lancashire for a glowing night of solidarity as we walk the Blackpool Illuminations to show support for people who don't have a safe place to call home.
On the same day, thousands of people across England will be taking part in Walk For Home events, united by one simple belief: everyone deserves a safe place to call home.
Here in Blackpool, we'll be lighting up the night with a 6km walk under the famous Blackpool Illuminations on Blackpool's Promenade. We are starting from the Mirror Ball (opposite The Big One Rollercoaster in Blackpool Pleasure Beach) to Blackpool Tower and back again.
We'll be walking together, raising awareness and showing that people experiencing homelessness are not forgotten.

What is Walk For Home?
Walk For Home is more than just a walk. It's an opportunity to come together as a community and show solidarity with people facing homelessness.
For many people, home is somewhere to feel safe, warm and secure. But for thousands of people, that security is missing.
By joining us, you're helping to shine a light on homelessness and supporting Shelter's fight for home.
Light the Way Home!
We're asking everyone to come dressed to light the way home. Bring your best high visibility clothing, along their glow sticks, glow paint and anything else that will help light up the night.
As we walk the Blackpool Illuminations together, let's create our own sea of light and solidarity. The brighter we shine, the louder our message: Everyone deserves a safe place to call home.
Everyone is Welcome
Walk For Home Blackpool is a community event and everyone is welcome.
The route is suitable for children, wheelchair users and cyclists, so bring your family, friends, colleagues or community group and join us for a night to remember.
Fundraising and Donations
Registration is free, but we're asking everyone taking part to fundraise and/or make a donation on the night to help support our cause. Every pound raised will help Shelter continue its work to fight homelessness and housing injustice.
You don't need to be a seasoned fundraiser to get involved. Simply sharing why you're walking, encouraging others to support you or making a donation yourself can make a difference.
Join the Movement
Thousands of people. One national movement. One shared belief. No one should have to face homelessness alone.
Come and walk with us in Blackpool. Bring your friends, bring your family, bring your glow sticks and help us light the way home.
