About this Event
Now in its 16th year, the Walk for Awareness by the Mental Awareness Foundation brings together thousands of people to honour the 9 lives lost to suicide every day and to walk together for better mental health in Australia.
🗓 Sunday 18 October 2026
📍 Captain Burke Park, Kangaroo Point (Under the Story Bridge)
⏰ Activities and entertainment from 7:30am with the walk beginning at 8:30am
🚶 9km or 5km walk through beautiful Brisbane. The route is family, wheelchair and pet friendly!
🎫 Registration is just $35, with kids 14 and under free!
👕 All participants receive their very own Walk for Awareness T-Shirt with an option to buy a shirt for any children who are also walking
Every step on the Walk for Awareness is an opportunity to remember, reflect, and to help us achieve a fundraising goal of $150,000 for mental health programs
