About this Event
We are delighted to invite you to the 2026 Wakefield District Good Food Partnership Celebration Event and Annual General Meeting (AGM). This is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate everything the partnership has achieved over the past year, hear about our future plans, have your say on how the partnership is run, and connect with others who are passionate about creating a healthier, more sustainable food system across the Wakefield District.
We are especially pleased to welcome Alan Thornton from Fruit Works Co-operative as our guest speaker. Alan will be speaking about Fruit Works and how it helps people to plant and maintain fruit trees, before leading a discussion on how we can make the Wakefield District more fruitful. There will also be some tasting! As part of the AGM, members can vote for the Partnership Chair and members of the Finance and Management Committee. If you would like to stand for any of these positions, please contact us at[email protected] by 5 October 2026 and we will add your name to the ballot. While we are unfortunately unable to provide lunch, please feel free to bring your own food so that we can enjoy an informal lunch together during the event.
We look forward to seeing you there.
