We’re excited to kick off a new academic year of WACY Brass and to welcome young brass and percussion players (Grade 3+) to our first course of the 2026/27 season on Sunday 18 October at King’s High School, Warwick.WACY Brass is a free, high quality programme where young musicians rehearse, learn and perform as part of a vibrant, ambitious youth ensemble. It’s a place to grow in confidence, develop musical excellence and make lasting friendships.
We’re delighted that Tom Stoneman will continue as our guest conductor this year, the first student to receive a scholarship place on the @Royal Birmingham Conservatoire’s MMus in Brass Band Conducting.
Past WACY highlights include workshops and performances with the Tredegar Town Band, the Band of the British Army and students from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Your young musician will be inspired, challenged and supported every step of the way.
Trumpet players and bass clef reading trombonists are also welcome.
We’d love your children to invite friends who play brass or percussion joining with familiar faces makes the experience even more enjoyable and strengthens our musical community.
We can’t wait to welcome your young musician.
