About this Event
Reggie Ballesteros is a mechanical engineer turned photographer and educator, and the creator of the popular Fujifilm film simulation recipe “Reggie’s Portra.” Every street photographer develops a signature — the shot they can’t walk past. For Reggie, it’s finding ways to transform familiar, everyday scenes into unexpected compositions by noticing how visual elements interact, then using layering and perspective to bring them together in the frame.
Take on a series of photography prompts during this photo walk designed to help you notice relationships between light, color, texture, and the everyday environment around you. Test your eye, push your point of view, and find unexpected ways to bring those elements together in the frame. We'll meet up in front of the International Center of Photography and end at the VSCO booth in the Fujikina Street Fair.
Find the shot. Make it yours. Share in the collaborative VSCO Gallery for a chance to win Reggie’s custom Ube camera strap from Clever Supply.
