Fall Cleanup at the Hartman Rock Garden — Saturday, October 24, 9am–NoonJoin us for our annual Fall Cleanup and help care for one of Springfield's most beloved treasures. We'll be clearing spent flowers, planting bulbs for spring, sweeping walkways, and doing other tidying around Ben Hartman's visionary art environment.
Volunteers of all ages and abilities are welcome. There is a job for everyone, whether you want to dig in the flower beds or sweep the sidewalk. You do not need any experience to get involved. Come for twenty minutes or three hours, whatever works for you. Every bit of help makes a difference.
We will provide the tools and snacks, but you're welcome to bring your own gloves and tools if you prefer. Wear clothes you do not mind getting a little dirty, and come ready to make your community a little more beautiful. The bulbs you plant this fall will bloom for every visitor who tours the garden next spring!
