Help plant a new native plant demonstration garden at the Surfside Beach Library! This project is a partnership of the SCNPS Grand Strand Chapter with the Town of Surfside Beach and Horry County Memorial Library. This project also received donations from community sponsors (SnailSeed Native Plants and Mow-Mentum Landscape and Hardscape).
We invite volunteers to help plant this new native plant demonstration garden in our community. This garden will feature native species that are well suited to home gardens and landscaping near the coast. Library visitors will get to see examples of native plants and learn about how they can grow them in their own home gardens and landscapes.
This activity involves moderate physical exertion, including:
- Kneeling and working with hand tools
- Digging and planting
All are welcome to participate, but you must register at the provided link.
We hope to see you there!
