About this Event

Volunteer with VNMS Pollinator Planting Program!

Join us for a fun day of native gardening and helping our community!

Date: Saturday, October 18

Time: 2-4pm

Location: Meet in front of Potbelly Sandwich Works at 4300 Connecticut Ave NW

All along Connecticut Avenue, you'll see the gorgeous native plant beds that Kathy Sykes, Master Gardener and Master Naturalist, and our dedicated volunteers have planted and tended over the years. They are literally buzzing with activity all spring and summer and have created a wonderful home for beneficial insects that are critical to supporting a healthy, sustainable environment.

This is a fun, hands-on event for experienced gardeners as well as first timers! Get your gardening on and expand your knowledge of pollinator-friendly native gardening. All ages are welcome and no experience is necessary - just a willingness to get your hands dirty and make a difference. Let's create a more vibrant and sustainable environment for everyone to enjoy.

Thank you to ANC3F for their support of this initiative.
