Volunteer Setup – Iraq & Afghanistan Dog Tag MemorialWe are looking for 20–30 volunteers to help assemble the Iraq & Afghanistan Dog Tag Memorial when it arrives in Billerica on Saturday, October 10, 2026.
Setup will begin at approximately 1:30 PM at the Billerica Elks, 14 Webb Brook Road, and is expected to take about two hours.
Volunteers will assist with unloading, assembling, positioning, and preparing the memorial for its 24-hour public display. No special experience is required — just a willingness to help and be part of bringing this important memorial to Billerica.
Lunch will be provided for volunteers.
At the conclusion of setup, we will gather briefly as a group to mark the memorial’s arrival in Billerica. That gathering will conclude with a moment of remembrance and the rendering of Taps before the memorial officially opens for public viewing.
To volunteer, please contact the Billerica Veterans Office at 978-671-0968.
