About this Event
Want to learn about native plants?
Want to help beautify a college campus?
Want to help improve water quality?
Join us as we plant around 70 native trees and shrubs at Northwest Indian College Tulalip Campus. We are improving a natural area where the student can harvest the plants for foods and medicines, learn about the native plants in classes and have a beautiful space to relax in between classes.
With the help of voluteers we've removed invasive species, spread mulch, fixed an old garden bed and many other small tasks needed to be done for this planting.
All tools and gloves will be provided. If you have a favorite pair of gloves, shovel, loppers or tree pruner feel free to bring them.
Snacks and beverages will be provided and there is a restroom on site.
Arrival instructions will be emailed a few days prior to the event.
Funding for this event is provided by Rose Foundation as part of a water quality and native plant grant.
