About this Event
Dear verticals, it's time to try something new.
We will visit one of the largest extinct volcanoes in the city called Tetlalmatzin (aka Guadalupe) which is a part of the Santa Catarina mountain range.
With easy access by metro or car, the summit is a friendly 3-hour hike up and around 2 hours down, through a beautiful park with stunning views of the city.
This is a loop hike!

Meeting spot: in front of Monumento de "El Sereno" (Insurgentes, Chapultepec, Juárez, Cuauhtémoc)

Detailed plan:
9:00 - Meeting in front of El Sereno monument
9:15 - Departure from Insurgentes to San Miguel Ajusco
11:15 - Arriving to the trailhead
11:25 - Start hiking
14:00 - Lunch by the Tetlalmanche peak
14:25 - Continue hiking
17:00 - Arriving back to trailhead and taking bus back to the city
19:00 - Arriving to CDMX

About 11.3km (expect for full day)
Total elevation: 531m (please keep this into consideration as this hike is NOT for rookies)
Please don't come late as the bus and bus will NOT wait for you.
Please bring enough water and food for 7 hours.
We do not recommend you to swim at lakes and rivers.
