About this Event
Voices With Purpose was created by Lakeesha Rice, a seasoned vocalist, recording artist, songwriter, and mentor who has been navigating the music industry since she was just 9 years old. By the age of 14, Lakeesha had already signed her first record deal, and throughout her career, she has been signed to three record labels, including RCA and Capitol Records.
Her journey has taken her to stages including Soul Train and BET’s Teen Summit, performing the National Anthem for WNBA games, and winning Amateur Night at the Apollo nine times. She also competed on Sunday Best, making it to the Top 7.
But Lakeesha’s greatest lessons have come from everything that happened behind the stages and beyond the spotlight the experiences, mistakes, sacrifices, setbacks, and lessons that taught her what it really takes to develop a gift into a career.
That’s why she created Voices With Purpose.
There are so many talented people who have an incredible gift but don't know what to do with it. They can sing, write, perform, or create, but they don't know how to develop their gift, navigate the industry, build confidence, choose the right songs, present themselves, or turn their talent into something intentional.
Lakeesha wants to change that.
Voices With Purpose is an opportunity to learn from someone who has lived it not just from a textbook, but from decades of real experience in the music industry.
If you know you have a gift, but you're ready to learn how to use it, develop it, and walk in it with purpose this program is for you.
