Voices of the Street Literary Anthology Launch 2026
The Voices of the Street Literary Anthology Launch is a community celebration of storytelling and creativity hosted by Megaphone, taking place May 14 from 6:30–8:00 PM at 149 W Hastings. The evening will feature live readings from contributors, opportunities to connect with writers and the official release of this year’s anthology.
This year’s theme, “How to Be Human,” explores the complexities, contradictions and shared experiences that shape our lives. Through poetry, prose and artwork, contributors reflect on what it means to navigate the world with vulnerability and care.
The event also reflects Megaphone's mission to amplify marginalized voices and create meaningful income-generating opportunities. Each anthology sold directly supports community members, with Megaphone vendors earning $10 per copy, ensuring that their storytelling is heard while earning a self-determined income.
