Programme journey

📍 26 April — Hatcham House
We begin in a contemporary art space exploring themes of home, identity, and change.

Workshop:
Together, we will co-design the project and start creating a shared textile artwork — a patchwork map of Lewisham.
We’ll begin with a central symbol: a tree and its roots, representing each participant’s origin, journey, and connection to place.

📍 9 May — Beckenham Place Park
A relaxed group walk with panoramic views and time to connect and reflect.

Workshop:
Transform your impressions into symbols and short personal stories.

📍 16 May — Local Library
Discover local stories, community history, and shared knowledge.

Workshop:
Reflect on your experience and express it through creative making.

📍 23 May — Horniman Museum
Explore cultures and stories from around the world.

Workshop:
Express your ideas and emotions through creative practice, adding to the collective artwork.

Who is this for?

This programme is especially welcoming for people new to Lewisham, including those seeking sanctuary — but open to anyone who wants to connect, create, and belong.
