ABOUT
ROCK CITY WETLAND has recently been classified as a rare topogenous fen and peatland. At the end of October, HyLand Properties is expected to begin site preparation for a six-storey apartment building upslope from the Wetland.
Current plans include the removal of 437 Trees and blasting and levelling of a large Rock bluff. These changes to the surrounding topography have raised concerns about potential impacts to the groundwater pathways that help sustain the Fen.
In this time of change for the Wetland, SINGING FOR ROCK CITY FEN is an opportunity to come together in kinship and to support this Nature community with the loving vibration of our collective voices.
