About Hampayã
Hampayã is a sacred baptism of the voice, rarely shared outside of the Amazon Jungle. Guided by Txana Ikakuru, this blessing is performed with chili pepper, traditionally used to purify the throat and open the channels of communication. It is known to clear blockages in expression, speech, and song, while also strengthening memory—supporting the ability to retain teachings, prayers, songs, and even to learn new instruments.
The prayer of Hampayã is connected to the Txana bird, a bird of the forest gifted with the power to imitate the voices of all other animals. In the same way, this blessing invites participants to expand their own voice—opening pathways for authentic self-expression, creative power, and connection to Spirit.
This will be the first time Txana Ikakuru opens this blessing in California, offering a unique opportunity to receive this rare initiation.
🌿 Benefits of Hampayã:
• Purification of the throat and communication center
• Opening of the voice for singing, prayer, and speech
• Strengthening memory and learning capacity
• Support in embodying authentic expression
