Writing with Spirit is a series of writing dayschools exploring spiritual themes in a stunning, inspiring location.In 'Voice of the Ancestors' we will draw upon our personal histories, memories and archives - a rich repository of inspiration to create powerful writing in prose and poetry.
You will be asked to bring in mementos and archival material. We will use various techniques to connect with our ancestors included guided meditation and mindfulness walks.
Writing materials provided (although you are welcome to bring your own journal or notebook).
Hot drinks, biscuits and cake provided. Bring packed lunch. Wear suitable clothing/footwear for a short walk through the grounds (this is weather dependent - if too wet and muddy we will stay at the studio, which has lovely views over the forest and coast). If participants are of limited mobility, we will stay within the grounds of Othona.
