Vocal Technique Masterclass: Healthy Belting Across Styles====================
Join us for this special studio masterclass led by studio owner Adrienne, designed to deepen singers’ understanding of belting to complement their individual technical instruction. The workshop provides a big-picture framework for what “belt” means across styles, and how healthy belting can look, sound, and feel in different musical contexts.
The class begins with an overview of belting across genres, clarifying terminology and addressing common misconceptions around chest, head, and mixed approaches. Through live demonstration, students will hear different belting coordinations and how vocal choices shift based on style, range, and expressive intent.
Participants will then explore key sensations associated with efficient, sustainable belting, with an emphasis on awareness and self-monitoring rather than prescriptive technique.
In the final portion of the class, Adrienne will coach individual singers. Bring a short section of a song to work on, or gain insight by observing others explore healthy belt techniques. This segment focuses on applying concepts in real time and developing the ability to feel and hear healthy coordination versus strain across a range of voices and styles.
This workshop is designed to complement ongoing private lessons, giving singers shared vocabulary, stronger listening skills, and practical insights to bring back into their continued study.
