Join us for a fun afternoon of Egyptian yoga and macramé crafting on April 20th at 2:00 PM!
About this Event

Welcome to an afternoon of mindfulness, creativity and relaxation!

Embark on a journey of mindfulness and creativity at our 6th community event, where we blend the ancient practice of Egyptian yoga with the modern art of macramé.

We believe mixing age-old crafts of the hands and returning back to the spiritual practice of yoga surrounded by a supportive, inclusive and welcoming community is the crafting & nourishing of the soul we all crave. It's a wonderful activity to do by yourself, or with your loved one(s).

Experience the serene power of Egyptian yoga as Salome will guide you through a series of gentle movements and breathwork inspired by the wisdom of the pharaohs. Connect with your inner strength and grace while immersing yourself in the rich history and culture of Egypt.

Following the yoga session, unleash your creativity with a macramé workshop led by Alexia Gazi (Founder of Art of the H-art). Learn the intricate techniques of knotting as you craft your own unique macramé yoga mat holder.

Learning a new skill is a wonderful way to learn how to be mindful and present in the moment. Unwind from the fast-paced world we live in and destress by picking up some cord and creating something to be proud of.

About Alexia:

Alexia Gazi, was born in Athens, Greece in 1981. Her first experiences as a macramé artist were in 2016, two years after she got sober, where she found herself with more time and a restless mind. She spent a year learning a craft a month and one of these crafts was macramé.

She instantly took to macramé. Working with fibre felt natural and she enjoyed freely creating in the moment and letting her hands knot.

She is the founder of Art of the H-art. Art of the H-art was born out of her love for learning new crafts and new ways to express one's creativity.

Art of the H-art is about learning a new skill and making for mindfulness. Through learning a new craft we significantly strengthen our concentration and memory, we develop an awareness of our surroundings through our chosen craft, we discover and develop our own creativity and we boost our confidence all the while being present.

Check out her instagram for latest workshops and designs: @artofthehart_.
