What happens when you slow down and really look? During this 8-week course, we will explore the possibilities that can happen in drawing through visual observation.You will learn to:
- See differently - develop stronger observation and visual awareness.
- Understand how images are built - from simple shapes and lines to complete forms and spaces.
- Create depth and dimension - learn to make drawings feel three-dimensional and alive.
- Understand light, proportion, movement, and composition - the foundations of a convincing image.
- Develop your own visual expression - use drawing not only to represent what you see, but to explore
and communicate your ideas.

Meet the instructor:
Yegane Seif is a painter and workshop instructor from Iran. Her work is characterized by vibrant colours ‘deformed figures and abstraction, and often explores humans as mystical objects.Her work is influenced by her journeys to different places and her day to day experiences with people.Through her art, She shows her own inner world to an audience for them to be able to create their own stories using the elements they see.
Alongside her own artistic practice, Yegane has always enjoyed sharing art with others. While at school, She taught drawing and painting to children with autism which deeply affected her, and over the years has continued teaching painting to people of different ages and backgrounds in Iran, Turkey and in Canada. These experiences have become an important part of her relationship with art, allowing her to connect with others through creativity and encourage people to explore their own artistic expression.
