New here? Welcome to Visibility Brigade Kane (VBK)! We're a local grassroots crew in Kane County, Illinois, standing up for democracy and pushing back against fascism, nationalism, and authoritarianism. Our signature move? Gathering on bridges over rush-hour traffic with giant-letter messages, waving flags, and giving drivers a peaceful, joyful, impossible-to-miss reminder that they're not alone. We're always looking for dependable people to join our regular crew and help make these actions happen. If you can only come occasionally, you're welcome too — bring a friend and be ready to wave at strangers! We also get together for trivia nights, watch parties, and social nights at local breweries — because building community is part of the work. Trivia night. At a brewery. With the people who know a little too much about everything. You know who you are. Visibility Brigade Kane is taking over Penrose Brewing in Geneva for a night of brain-bending trivia, great beer, and extremely serious competition over absolutely nothing. Bring your smartest friends and your A-game — you'll be playing on the VBK Trivia team, so no need to bring a team of your own. The group chat will not let us forget it if we lose. Penrose Brewing, 509 Stevens St, Geneva — small-batch beers, fruited seltzers, and a shuffleboard table (free, and yes, it counts as a warm-up). 6:45-9:00 PM. What to Bring: Just yourself — you'll play on the VBK Trivia team. Friends are welcome. Your appetite — Penrose is bring-your-own-food, so grab takeout on the way or bring snacks to share. A card — Penrose is credit/debit only, no cash (and the bartenders don't take tips — buy them a beer instead). Parking: downtown Geneva — street parking on Stevens St and the public lots a block or two away. Arrive a few minutes early to snag a spot. First-timers absolutely welcome. Kids welcome at Penrose too, if your tiny genius wants in on the team. Come be loud with us — everyone who stays home will be hearing about it for a week.
