Violin & Piano Duo Concert

Join the renowned violinist Anete Graudina and pianist Hiroko Yamamoto for a special live performance at the beautiful Hampstead Garden Suburb Free Church. They'll be playing a famous duo sonata by Schubert, a passionate Ciaconna by Vitali, and more.

Anete Graudina Violin


Anete Graudina was born in Latvia and trained at music schools in Riga and Moscow. She was a violinist with the Orchestra of Latvian Opera and Ballet and is the founder of Tangissimo, an ensemble dedicated to celebrating Astor Piazzola’s tango music.

In 1995 she moved to London where she teaches violin and performs regularly at venues including St Martin-in-the Fields, Burgh House, Hampstead, St James’, Piccadilly and at St Anne’s Church in Kew where she played solo with an orchestra. She has given recitals in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Sicily, Cyprus, Latvia and at the Edinburgh Festival. Outside of Europe, Anete has performed in USA, Canada and India.

In 2004, she completed a postgraduate course at London College of Music and Media. Anete has organised and led musical trips to Leipzig, Florence, Venice, Bergen, Istanbul, Salzburg, Riga and Athens. Her 2025 event will take place in Barcelona in April. Recently she has been leading a campaign to raise one million euros for the building and installation of a new organ in Riga’s historic St Peter’s Church.

Anete has recorded several CDs including Romantic Bartok with the distinguished pianist, Aya Kawabata. Her violin was made by Andrea Guarneri in 1640.

Hiroko Yamamoto Piano


Hiroko Yamamoto BA, BMusgraduated from Trinity College of Music, where she studied piano with distinguished Russian professors, later continuing her studies with Pascal Nemirovski. Her second study was classical singing, under the guidance of Elizabeth Haws, Penny Clark and the late John Wakefield.

Hiroko was awarded Fourth Prize at the Beethoven Piano Competition in Shiga Prefecture, Japan, and won the Anthony Lindsay Piano Prize at Trinity College of Music.

She has performed extensively in Japan, Australia, Portugal, Latvia, Canada and throughout the UK, appearing at venues including St George’s Bristol, St James’s Church, Piccadilly, and the Royal Academy of Music and le Salle de Pierre Mercure in Montréal, Canada as part of the sold-out Studio Ghibli concerts presented by Opus 1 Music. She has also toured internationally as a collaborative pianist with opera singers, performing aboard Swan Hellenic and P&O Cruises.
