About this Event
Violence Against Women and Girls: Who's Responsibility Is It?
Violence against women and girls remains one of the most pressing issues facing our communities, affecting lives, families and future generations. Yet too often the responsibility for addressing it falls solely on those most impacted. This thought-provoking event challenges that narrative.
Bringing together people from across our communities, sectors and services, we will explore the attitudes, systems and behaviours that enable violence to persist, while examining the role we all play in creating meaningful change. Through powerful discussion, reflection and challenge, attendees will be encouraged to consider difficult questions, confront uncomfortable truths and explore what accountability, prevention and allyship truly look like in practice.
This is not simply a conversation about violence against women and girls. It is a call to recognise that ending violence is a shared responsibility. By fostering understanding, challenging assumptions and inspiring action, the event aims to strengthen our collective commitment to creating safer communities where women and girls can live free from fear, harm and inequality.
Refreshments and lunch will be provided throughout the day.
