Christmas Vintage Cake ClassCreate a beautifully nostalgic Christmas centerpiece as you decorate a whimsical vintage-inspired holiday cake featuring elegant Lambeth piping, timeless details, and festive seasonal charm.
What You'll Create
Each student will decorate one tall 8-inch, three-layer celebration cake using traditional Lambeth-style piping techniques. Throughout class, you'll transform your cake into an elegant holiday centerpiece featuring whimsical vintage-inspired details, festive Christmas colors, and beautifully layered buttercream decorations.
We'll be working with rich butter vanilla cake and smooth, velvety Swiss meringue buttercream throughout class.

How to properly fill, stack, crumb coat, and apply a smooth final coat to a tall celebration cake
How to work with Swiss meringue buttercream
How to color buttercream properly and understand basic color theory
How to create a beautiful vintage-inspired holiday color palette using classic Christmas hues and soft seasonal tones
Piping & Design Focus (Traditional Lambeth Method)
Students will learn the fundamentals of traditional Lambeth piping—the classic decorating technique that inspired today's popular vintage cake trend.
This timeless style involves building multiple layers of intricate buttercream piping to create depth, elegance, and texture. While the finished look is impressive, each technique is broken down into simple, beginner-friendly steps.
You'll learn:
How to properly hold and control a pastry bag
Pressure piping techniques and consistency control
How to use piping tips at different angles to achieve various designs
How to layer piping to create a cohesive vintage design
Piping techniques covered include:
Shell borders
Reverse shell borders
Pearl and bead borders
Swags
Ruffles
Rosettes and classic vintage accents
Each student will choose and mix their own custom holiday color palette, making every cake completely unique while staying true to the timeless vintage Christmas aesthetic.

All class tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable for any reason at any time. This includes cancellations, schedule conflicts, no-shows, late arrivals, illness, or failure to meet class requirements.
By purchasing a ticket, you are reserving a seat in class. Supplies are purchased, prepared, and portioned specifically for each student. Labor is involved in advance preparation and many materials cannot be reused once prepared.
If you cannot attend, you may request a one-time transfer with at least 48 hours notice if space allows, but this is not guaranteed.
Failure to meet class requirements or follow class policies may result in denial of participation without refund.
