Vienna Volunteer Fire Department Invites Community to Annual Open Houseon Saturday, October 10
VIENNA, VA — The Vienna Volunteer Fire Department (VVFD) invites the community to its Annual Open House on Saturday, October 10, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, for a fun-filled day of fire safety lessons, family activities, food, tours of the firehouse and vehicles, and kid-friendly activities.
This year’s Open House coincides with Fire Prevention Week and highlights the theme, “Charge Into Fire Safety: Safe Charging Is a Superpower!”
The event will help community members understand how simple, everyday actions can help prevent lithium-ion battery fires. Lithium-ion batteries are found in many of the devices people use every day, and making smart choices when charging and using them can play an important role in preventing fires.
Families will have the opportunity to meet Vienna Volunteer Fire Department firefighters and EMTs, learn valuable fire safety information, enjoy demonstrations and activities, and experience an exciting day at the firehouse.
“Open House is one of our favorite days where we welcome the community into our firehouse,” said VVFD Fire Chief Jeff Snow. “We hope families will visit with us for a fun day and learn important safety information for use at home.”
The VVFD encourages residents to bring their families, invite friends and neighbors, and join in this annual community event.
