About this Event
Since 1498, the Vienna Boys Choir has been training children at the highest level—adding new chapters to a 528-year history.
Today, the Vienna Boys Choir numbers 94 active choristers aged between 10 and 14, representing 19 different nations. The boys are divided into four touring ensembles named after iconic Austrian composers: Bruckner, Haydn, Mozart, and Schubert.
The choir’s music transcends time, space, and genres—sacred and secular, historic and contemporary, from every corner of the globe. By mixing traditional high culture with today's sounds, the boys develop an ear and a love for great art. As a mark of respect for the countries they visit, they perform songs in the local languages on their tours.
