5 week digital video workshop series, covering essentials for writing, shooting and editing a digital short.
About this Event

Pinch presents:

The Digital Storytelling Crash Course workshop series with instructor Ben Gorodetsky!

Over five weeks this course will equip you with both the theory and practical skills necessary to write, shoot and edit your very own digital video project. Whether you're passionate about sketch comedy, documentary, music videos, narrative shorts, video essays, or any other genre, you can expect to leave this course with a finished digital video you can be proud of!

Each 2 hour class will use a mix of viewings, practical filmmaking exercises, storytelling theory, and outside-of-class production assignments to build confidence in digital storytelling.

---

Homework:

This course relies heavily on students putting their learning into practice outside of class time. Expect to have 1-3 hours of homework each week. This will be work on your own video projects, so should be fun! But also, video takes time. So plan accordingly.

---

Equipment:

All projects will be shot on smart phones! No fancy gear needed. If you have your own gear and want to use it, you're welcome to. But it's not necessary!

---

Schedule:

Classes: Thursdays, 7-9pm | Mar 18 - Apr 15

---

Venue:
Waterloo Visitor Information Centre - 10 Father David Bauer Drive, Waterloo

---

If class price is an issue, reach out. Reduced pricing is always available.
