About this Event
Victorian Seasonal Felting Workshop
A cosy afternoon of traditional craft, autumn colour and Victorian-inspired creativity.
Join us at Redeemer Central, 101 Donegall Street, Belfast for a relaxed seasonal felting workshop inspired by the colours, textures and handmade traditions of the Victorian era.
As part of our Shared Roots heritage programme, we’ll explore the Victorian love of decorative handcrafts and making beautiful objects for the home, before creating our own colourful seasonal felted pieces inspired by autumn.
You’ll learn simple felting techniques and have plenty of freedom to play with colour, texture and design. No previous experience is needed – this is a friendly, accessible workshop suitable for complete beginners as well as experienced crafters.
Along the way, we’ll share a little about Victorian Belfast, traditional textile crafts and the history surrounding 101 Donegall Street, connecting the building and its neighbourhood with the creative traditions of the period.
