Have you ever spent a beautiful Dunedin evening walking Victoria Drive and wondered about the history behind this local staple?Our Victoria Drive Sunset Stroll dives into the past of these historic homes while you enjoy the scenic sunset view over the gulf. Our very own Historian will guide you along the original crushed clam shell road of Victoria Drive where you can view the outside of each home and learn the history, unique facts, and fascinating stories behind them. Your guide will focus on the wealthy homeowners who helped establish Victoria Drive along the waterfront from 1873 - 1903 along with information about the homes today.
What to know before the stroll:
Please wear closed toe shoes and bring a flashlight
This is an outdoor tour so please dress according to weather conditions and what you need to feel comfortable
You will get free admission to the Dunedin History Museum for the day of your Stroll only, just provide the name on your Stroll Booking to the Gift Shop attendant
Minimum of 6 people must sign up – if not enough people sign up you’ll receive credit towards next walk
