For most, it isn't skill. It isn't content. It isn't even opportunity. It's the gap between what you intend and how you're actually experienced by the meeting planner deciding whether to book you again, by the audience deciding whether to trust you, by the referral partner deciding whether to recommend you.
Corrinne Armour CSP has spent 20+ years helping executive teams recognise the leadership derailers that quietly undermine their influence; patterns like the Cyclone who moves so fast they leave people behind, or the Staller still ‘refining the deck’ a day before the gig.
In this session, Corrinne turns the same framework on the speaking profession itself: the derailers that show up specifically when you're building a stage, running a speaking business, or trying to get the next booking.
This is a session for speakers ready to see the pattern that's most likely limiting their own reach and do something about it before it costs them the next opportunity.
By the end of the session, attendees will:
Identify the 12 leadership derailers and the positive intention behind each one
Recognise the one or two derailers most likely limiting their own progress as a speaker
Watch a derailer come to life through an audience-driven example, a case study in how it plays out for speakers
Leave with a practical model; Intention → Behaviour → Alignment to apply immediately
About Corrinne Armour CSP
Corrinne Armour CSP is Australia's leading thinker in Fearless Leadership®.
A professional keynote speaker, author and executive coach with more than 20 years' experience, she blends brain science with powerful storytelling to help leaders and speakers close the gap between intention and impact.
Her perspective on leadership was profoundly shaped by living and teaching in a jungle refugee camp on the edge of a warzone. This experience redefined how she understands courage, connection, and what it really demands to perform when it matters most. Before moving into leadership development, Corrinne held leadership roles at organisations including Toshiba and ANZ, and is the author of Leaders Who Ask and Developing Direct Reports: Taking the Guesswork Out of Leading Leaders.
She's known for her warmth, straight-talking style, and her ability to translate insight into practical tools people can use immediately. Living in regional Victoria, Corrinne can often be found out in the bush on her horse.
