Join us as Steve Harris presents on:
Specification Driven Development: From Human Router to Software Factory
My journey with Claude Code and GitHub spec-kit
What happens when you stop being the person who copies prompts between AI sessions?
Steve Harris shares a practitioner’s journey from “human router” to an overnight, spec-driven software factory: coding agents work through bounded phases while he sleeps, and a reviewable pull request is waiting in the morning.
What we’ll cover
- How Specification Driven Development makes intent durable before coding starts
- The controls that let you walk away: session guards, phase checks and decision rights
- Real failures, and what they taught the harness
Who it’s for
Developers, tech leads and engineering managers working with coding agents anyone with an interest in coding with agents. No spec-kit experience needed.
You’ll walk away with
Practical insights for a first unattended feature: bounded scope, settled decisions, a tested stopping path.
Coffee and Tea will be served.
Feel free to grab a lunch at the Fort Cafe, located on site.
