📍 December 3 · Barcelona VI Circular Construction Summit | Building resiliency

The leading event on circular economy applied to construction returns this December to Barcelona.

On December 3, 2025, we celebrate the under the theme “Building Resiliency”, in the Vertex auditorium of the UPC.

Organized by the UPC - Grupo Construcía Chair and the Diputació de Barcelona, this event brings together professionals, institutions, and companies committed to a new way of building—regenerative, collaborative, and aligned with the planet’s limits.

What is the Circular Construction Summit?

A space to share the latest tools and real-world solutions that are transforming the sector through the lens of the circular economy.

The goal: to create a living ecosystem of organizations guided by the Net Positive culture, capable of generating a positive impact throughout the entire built environment value chain.

2026 Focus

This edition highlights real, scalable transformation cases already in progress—from infrastructure to business models:

  • Two guest regions: Vienna and Brussels. They will share their hands-on experiences on the journey toward material and social resilience in urban environments, with circular construction as the core strategy.
  • Barcelona, the host city, will present the outcomes of its urban initiatives and the innovations planned for the coming year.
  • The financial sector will also be represented. We will learn about the first initiative bringing together banks, investors, construction companies, and the public sector to integrate circularity into the risk assessment of real estate assets.
  • Academia and industry will complete the programme, exploring the role of research, AI, materials management and other areas. The programme will showcase innovation, pilot experiences and projects that are already generating real impact across the sector.

All of this is connected by a common theme: this new edition of the summit focuses on the need to adapt and build resilience in an era of geopolitical uncertainty, social challenges, resource scarcity and supply chain disruptions.

Resilience is an essential strategy for risk management, and we will explore it through the lens of circular construction.
