NL Vijf jaar geleden ontmoette Dorothée Munyaneza Christian Nka voor het eerst in het Forestapark in de Quartiers Nord van Marseille. Christian is een voormalig bokskampioen en een lokale legende die zijn buurt nooit heeft achtergelaten. Samen met componist Ben La Mar Gay, maakten ze een indrukwekkende voorstelling waarin ze zich afvragen wat mannelijkheid, geweld en vaderschap vandaag kunnen betekenen. FR Dorothée Munyaneza a rencontré Christian Nka pour la première fois il y a cinq ans au Forestapark, dans les quartiers Nord de Marseille. Christian est un ancien champion de boxe et une légende locale qui n’a jamais quitté son quartier. En collaboration avec le compositeur Ben La Mar Gay, iels ont créé un spectacle intrépide dans lequel iels s’interrogent sur ce que peuvent signifier de nos jours la masculinité, la violence et la paternité.

Christian is a former boxing champion and a local legend who has never left his neighbourhood. With composer Ben La Mar Gay, they have created an impressive performance piece, in which they question what masculinity, violence, and fatherhood can mean today.
