BBA Gallery invites you to the opening reception of Graceful Degradation, a solo exhibition by German artist Verena Bachl, on the evening of Friday, November 13, 2026.
Working across sculpture and spatial installation, Verena Bachl draws on industrial elements, light, and material processes to investigate how functional objects persist beyond the systems they once served. Occupying a boundary between infrastructure, geology, and artefact, her practice tracks gradual, imperceptible shifts where stability remains provisional and transformation is structurally embedded within charged matter.
Rather than narrating collapse or rupture, Graceful Degradation dwells in threshold states and metastable formations—spaces where light turns to surface, reflection forms structure, and materials quietly drift and reconfigure outside of human control.
