🏃♀️ VELVET RUN 2026: Run for Freedom! 🇨🇿 Join us on 14 November 2026 for the traditional Velvet Run in the heart of Stockholm! Together, we will commemorate the 37th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution and celebrate the values of freedom and democracy through sport and community spirit.
Whether you're a passionate runner, a casual jogger, or simply enjoy a pleasant walk, Velvet Run is for everyone! Come and spend an enjoyable afternoon with family, friends, and members of the Czech and Slovak community in Sweden. Kids and four-legged friends are welcomed.
📅 When: Saturday, 14 November 2026, from 13:00
📍 Where: Embassy of the Czech Republic in Stockholm, Villagatan 21
❤️ Three routes, three symbols of freedom:
- Pros: Run 6.1 km (approx. 30 - 50 minutes)
- Intermediate: Run 3.8 km (approx. 30 minutes)
- Walking route 2.8 km (approx. 30 minutes)
Event Schedule:
13:00 – Doors open
13:30 – Start
Changing facilities and space to leave personal belongings will be available on site.
Held annually in Stockholm since 2019, Velvet Run brings together sport, Czech history, and people of all generations.
