Velkomin á opnun Leyndarmáls skordýranna!
Sumarsýningin í Barnasafni Norræna hússins opnar laugardaginn 16. maí frá kl. 13:00–16:00. Yngstu gestum er boðið að taka þátt í vatnslitasmiðju, skoðað sýninguna og fara í skordýraratleik!. Þeir sem finna öll skordýrin geta farið í afgreiðslu bókasafnsins til að sækja verðlaun! Einnig verða leikir í tengslum við sýninguna og þeir sem vilja vera úti geta tekið með sér fuglabingó.
Sýningin Leyndarmál skordýranna er byggð á bókinni Insektenes hemmeligheter eftir Anne Sverdrup-Thygeson og má sýnir fallegar vatnslitamyndir eftir Ninu Marie Andersen.
Skordýr eru eldri en risaeðlur og finnast alls staðar, allt frá eyðimörkum til norðurheimskautsbaugs. Sumarsýning Barnasafnsins kannar leyndan heim skordýra á Norðurlöndunum. Hún gefur innsýn í aðlögunarhæfni skordýra og segir frá geitungum sem lifa í 400 milljónir ára, lirfum sem breyta öðrum skordýrum í uppvakninga og bjöllum með eiturbyssum! Þó að sum skordýr geti virst pirrandi - eins og moskítóflugur eða lús, þá eru þau nauðsynleg fyrir vistkerfið.
Opnunin er ókeypis og allir eru velkomnir!

Sommerutstillingen i barnebiblioteket på Nordens hus åpner lørdag 16.mai fra 13:00-16:00.
De yngste besøkerne kan utforske utstillingen, bli med på drop-in vannfargeverksted og drive med insektsobservasjon. Finn alle insektene og kom til bibliotekskranken for å hente premien din!
Aktiviteter knyttet til utstillingen blir også tilgjengelige, sammen med en fuglebingo for dem som vil være ute.
Utstillingen Insektenes hemmeligheter bygger på boka med samme navn av Anne Sverdrup-Thygeson og viser akvareller av Nina Marie Andersen. Akvarellene er illustrasjoner i boka.
Åpningen er gratis og alle er velkomne!

Welcome to the opening of The Secret Life of Insects!
The summer exhibition at the Nordic House Children’s Library opens on Saturday, May 16, from 13:00–16:00 . During the day, the youngest visitors can join a drop-in watercolour workshop, explore the exhibition, and take part in an insect scavenger hunt. Find all the insects and head to the library desk to claim your reward!
Games in connection with the new exhibition will also be available as well as a bird bingo for those who want to spend time in the outdoor area.
The exhibition The Secret Life of Insects, is based on the book Insektenes hemmeligheter by Anne Sverdrup-Thygeson and and features beautiful watercolor illustrations, which also adorn the book, by Nina Marie Andersen. Insects are older than dinosaurs and are found everywhere, from deserts to the Arctic Circle. The children's library's summer exhibition explores the hidden world of insects in the Nordic countries. It gives insight into the adaptability of insects and tells about wasps that live for 400 million years, larvae that turn other insects into zombies and beetles with poison guns! Although some insects may seem annoying - like mosquitoes or lice, they are essential to the ecosystem.
The opening is free and everyone is welcome!
