Please wear appropriate outdoor clothing* and get ready to have some fun!
* This is a rain or shine event - bring weather-appropriate outer-gear, and gloves if you have them (some will be provided). A backpack is always a welcome accessory. All volunteers will also need to have a signed waiver (we will provide but here's a preview)
Project Goals:
* Clean up along Union Street
* Empower volunteers to make a difference in our community. We will bag trash so that City staff can easily remove them.
* Inspire civic pride & participation. We will elevate awareness of civic organizations and invite volunteers and passersby to register to vote, and join the ONE Schenectady movement.
* Have fun together while building community!
Thanks to our Clean Team leaders and partners, including Vale Cemetery Association, John Roll, Eric Johnson, Alex Zogas, Sean Radigan, Tiffany Caldwell, and Carl Williams.
Please tag your photos on social media with #ONESchenectady, #CleanTeam, and #SchenectadyCleanup2026 to spread the good word and community love!
