Opening reception: 6pm-9pm
Vague Transparency brings together six photographers from Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and the USA, each working the same title toward a different conclusion. This free exhibition, 5m walk from local train/metro stations, asks what we actually see when we look at a photograph — how much of meaning is held in the frame and how much we bring to it. Between the literal and the ambiguous, it argues that photography's most interesting quality is its refusal to be precise
